Explore a fascinating day trip of the historical and vibrant city of Manila.
Take a rolling tour of the city onboard the Jeepney Tours that will lead you to old Manila called Intramuros or the “walled city”, the best place to view Spanish colonial architecture built in 1571, also known as one of the best preserved medieval cities in the world. Visit the San Agustin Church, the oldest church in the Philippines, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994.

 

Walk into Fort Santiago, an old Hispanic stone fortress which was once the site of of the kingdom of Rajah Soliman, a Muslim chieftain of pre Spanish colonization.

 

Within its walls is a * Light and Sound Museum, an interactive attraction feature life-sized dioramas that showcase the historic events in the Philippines from pre-Hispanic period, Spanish colonization, construction of Intramuros, conversion to Christianity and the life of Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

 

** Dine in an old Spanish house and savor delectable cuisine and be serenaded by a live string ensemble singing kundiman (traditional Filipino love songs) and Spanish songs. Shop for masterfully crafted Filipino products, and simply experience walking within the old town of Manila.

* Close every Monday. In lieu of that, guests will be taken for a tour of San Agustin Museum.
